I didn’t stay at the property because the online description of the facilities was misleading. I tried to cancel the reservation and ultimately booked at Jolie Ville Luxor instead, as I didn’t want to be misled by Grand Cleopatra’s false claims.

We booked a room for a few hours to use the pool and a shower room. The staff were very accommodating, the beds were amazing, the room was very clean, and we even received a welcome drink.

The hotel’s location was great, and I could walk to the Luxor Temple. The rooftop view was wonderful; I could see Queen Hatshepsut’s Mortuary Temple across the Nile. They also arranged a taxi with an excellent driver for my private tour of the Valley of the Kings. Above all, the hotel was spotless and the staff were kind and wonderful.

The location was good. The breakfast was not very good, and there was no coffee available. The reception was really unfriendly. I arrived with my 18‑year‑old son who was leaving that same evening at the airport around 23 h. The receptionist refused to let him enter my room. I asked to see the director, who also refused. We just wanted to sit for an hour before heading out to dinner somewhere. Real people were not nice! The breakfast staff, however, were very friendly.
