The spot is great and the hostess was welcoming, plus the breakfast was good, but the roses smelled like dogs.

The building is very old yet tastefully decorated, keeping many original features, and the garden at the back is pleasant; breakfast was excellent, delivered to my room in a picnic basket. The stone spiral staircase up to the room could trouble someone with mobility issues, though it was fine for me, and I was disappointed when two recommended restaurants were closed on a Wednesday.
