Quiet, clean, and homely, the place felt like home with helpful staff who handled everything you needed; the chaos outside fades once you step in, and the Tibetan food inside is great, though the location and surroundings leave something to be desired.
This was a terrible experience overall. The property was far below expectations—there was no electricity for long periods at night, the beds were in poor condition, we had mosquito issues, and even basic amenities (as promised under Olive Living) were not provided. We were also charged extra for basic things like drinking water, which is unacceptable given the condition of the stay. Because of these issues, we had to leave after just one night, even though we had booked multiple nights. When we tried to check out, the manager was not available, and the staff was extremely unhelpful and unresponsive to our concerns. We spent over 3 hours speaking with support, clearly explaining that the room was not livable and requesting a refund for the remaining 3 nights. While they acknowledged our situation and agreed that the concerns were valid, they ultimately said they could not process any refund due to policy, which was extremely disappointing. Overall, this was not just a poor hotel experience, but also a very frustrating and unhelpful support experience. Would not recommend
The hotel sits in a prime spot for shopping and getting a feel for India; the surrounding area isn’t fancy or pristine but offers a genuine glimpse of everyday Indian life. It’s close to Commercial Street, within walking distance, giving easy access to local stores. The staff are welcoming and helpful. I booked a Delux room, which was spacious and comfortable; cleanliness was acceptable. Extra towels and toiletries are free if you ask. The downstairs restaurant serves exceptional food, but I’d skip breakfast here. Outside, local taxis are readily available at low rates. I’d return.
The room was spotless, but the TV was broken.
