The owner was very friendly, speaks English and Spanish, and passionately explained how Modena vinegar is made; breakfast was exquisite with homemade cakes; she listened closely and gave great advice for the evening restaurant and nearby parking outside Bologna’s ZTL.

The property is huge with a nice entrance and many animals around; we loved the donkeys and the birds were entertaining; Barbara went above and beyond and her hospitality surpassed our expectations. Nothing was said about the property itself, but we stayed in August and many places, including restaurants, were closed.

The bed‑and‑breakfast was spacious with comfortable bedding, the staff were very smiling and welcoming, a lovely garden with children’s toys was available, perfect for keeping our kids busy; breakfast was a bit basic, but for a single night it was very good. I would have liked more information beforehand about the place’s specifics, because not knowing the meaning of “acetaia” I didn’t realize I was arriving at a vinegar factory and could have planned a visit if I had known earlier.

I got to try the balsamic vinegar and peek into the storage area, which was a nice touch. Whenever I ran into an issue, they fixed it right away, and the air conditioner was working perfectly, keeping the room cool.
