The location was good, but the resort looked like it was falling apart, with most huts in a dilapidated state. The villa itself was poorly maintained, basic toiletries were missing, and the phone didn’t work. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that fell far below my expectations.

I stayed in the independent Doctor Villa, which was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the whole place was well‑maintained and relaxed. Even though it’s a bit far from Cochin Airport, its position between the calm backwaters and the lovely Cherai Beach makes it special. The traditional Kerala‑style architecture is gorgeous and gives the property real charm. The pool and the gardens are large, kept tidy, and perfect for unwinding. The overall vibe was peaceful, so it was a solid pick for a chill escape. The resort’s on‑site restaurant is handy for guests, but the food didn’t hit the traditional South Indian flavors I’d expected, and the dinner menu was limited, which made the dining less satisfying.
