Hotel La Gil

The staff and the owner were very friendly and more than happy to help with the check‑in. The owner even gave a short tour of the hotel. The location is excellent for anyone visiting for the airshow. The room and bathroom were very clean. There is a balcony with a lovely view of the airport. Around the hotel there is a wide assortment of stores and restaurants to check out. It’s a perfect place for staying a few short nights! Checking in through the restaurant was a little confusing.

“Recomand cu încredere!”

The two days we spent at the hotel were really great; I highly recommend it. I asked for a specific room that the staff said they couldn’t guarantee, but to my surprise they ended up giving me exactly that room. Thanks, La Gil 😉. I have nothing else to add because there were no issues at all.

“Low cost if you need to be close to OTP, but you could do better.”

If you need to be close to OTP airport, the location is good since it’s a 15‑minute drive. The Shawarma place downstairs is also okay. The hotel is not well maintained and the rooms don’t look like the photos (which are very flattering). The shower was old and did not drain and the toilet didn’t really work. There is no one at the reception; the owner meets you outside (he seems to own the building including the restaurant and the 7/11 shop). He basically showed us the room and disappeared.

The room and bathroom were large, surprisingly quiet given that the hotel is on a very busy boulevard, clean, positioned next to the Aeronautical Authority and Băneasa airport. The mattress was quite firm, there was no curtain over the bathtub, and the hot water pressure was relatively low.

The room was very clean, with new working equipment. The location is right next to Băneasa airport. The staff was very, very pleasant, even at night they helped me get to Băneasa airport. They didn’t charge me for it. May they stay healthy and may everything they dream of come true! I couldn’t find the hotel entrance at first; it turned out I had to go to the restaurant, which is not next to the hotel. Then only I and a hotel staff member went to the hotel where I checked in.
