Very friendly owner, comfortable rooms (stayed both in the single tatami mat room and the western style room), good value for money. Cute cat, cool collection of anime stuff and very cool retro arcade machine in the living room/kitchen area

The owner is very warm and speaks Chinese, so communication was easy; upon arrival he gave a thorough rundown of nearby transport, and the place is truly convenient near JR Kyoto Station, with convenience stores, drugstores, and supermarkets close by. The hotel supplies a fridge and kitchen, more food options, a bathroom with separate wet and dry areas, a free washing machine, and a balcony for drying clothes. The cat Maro‑chan is adorable, and the lobby displays many local items—great for fans of Kyoto Animation. The building’s design inevitably causes a little noise; those sensitive to sound should consider this.
