The bed was fine and the room was clean. The location worked for what I wanted to do and the surroundings were okay. However, none of the staff spoke German or English, so I had a long phone call with the manager about checking in and then a face‑to‑face discussion about where to leave my bike even though I had already registered it. The manager didn’t read the messages and the conversation dragged on, and I ended up having to leave my bike in the main foyer.

“Unerfüllte Erwartungen”

We found it impossible that a non‑smoking room was offered and paid for when it had been 100 % smoked before. The promised amenities were missing, the wiring was makeshift and mold was visible. The room was also very plain, contrary to the description on the sign next to the main entrance. We ask for a 20 % refund of the overnight cost because staying in a smoker’s room was very uncomfortable for us as non‑smokers.

The hotel is in a great spot, clean and quiet, and the staff are very helpful. Guests should remember that the only way to retrieve a key from the safe box on arrival is to call the receptionist, who isn’t on site, and have him give you the code.
