The silence and peace, a large room with huge glass windows that opened to the most beautiful views, and the nightly sounds of jackals—so quiet that a bird flapping its wings seemed loud. The property was fully fenced, letting my pup roam while I relaxed. It’s a small farm growing herbs, with a lovely patio off the room for unwinding. There’s a BBQ stand and firewood, and I’ll definitely return; it’s my happy place away from the world, though I’ll come better prepared next time. The harsh chemicals and cleaning products used there made it non‑hypoallergenic and triggered my asthma, and my dog wheezed too. Not cool. There’s no kitchenette—just a small glass table, a couple of mugs, dog bowls, one teaspoon, a fridge, a tiny microwave that barely warms anything, and a kettle. No stove top as advertised, no utensils (I found plastic spoons in a cleaning cupboard, if that counts). A filthy pair of BBQ tongs outside, if that counts as a utensil and you’re brave. No outdoor furniture; I dragged a small table and chair from the bedroom, which was uncomfortable, and eventually we sat on my dog’s blankets and bedding outside. Frankly, I don’t care about any of that, but they should be honest in their advertising so guests can arrive prepared, especially since there’s no take‑out. It’s one thing to tell me to “bring your own food” when there are no nearby stores, but if the basics to prepare, serve, or cut food are missing, they should be upfront about it. I’ll be back, just better prepared now that I know. Also, bring insect repellents, a table fan, or nets—there are a lot of flies during the day (though that could be seasonal).

The real escape from noise it offers.

Everything was solid, but it never felt like a chill getaway. If you’re not driving a 4x4, think twice—roads can be tricky. And try to arrive before sunset; the light is gorgeous but you’ll be scrambling otherwise.

Nestled up in the mountains, this spot is a real find—serene, stunning scenery, and super authentic. Plenty of trails and viewpoints right outside your door. Just a heads‑up: the nearest shops are a bit of a drive, so pack your snacks and supplies.
