“Horror movie feels”
UNACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE — DIRTY, MISLEADING ADVERTISING AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I am writing this review because I genuinely hope it prevents other guests from going through the experience we had. From the moment we arrived at Molland Manor House, we felt uncomfortable. The lady who greeted us was abrupt and, in our experience, aggressive. Before we had even properly entered the property, she was already making an issue about the way we had parked the car. Very little was explained to us properly, and even breakfast had to be pre-ordered within a limited two-hour slot. The real shock came when we entered the room. We honestly could not believe the condition of the accommodation. The room appeared extremely dirty and poorly maintained. Inside the cardboard-style wardrobe/storage area, we found what appeared to be rodent or animal droppings. The fridge and microwave looked old, dirty and as though they had not been properly used or cleaned for a long time. We could not even tell whether they were functioning correctly. The bathroom was covered in visible marks and yellow staining. There was dust everywhere, the carpet looked dirty, the bed area did not feel properly cleaned, and there was a very large spider beside the bed. The overall condition gave us the impression that the room had not received a proper deep clean for a very long time. I personally found the dust and smell so unpleasant that I felt uncomfortable even breathing in the room. Another major issue was the way the property was advertised online. The listing gave us the clear impression that the room came with its own private jacuzzi and private pool, or at the very least that these facilities were directly connected to the room. That was one of the reasons we chose the property and accepted the price. When we arrived, the reality was completely different.
