“Great stay”
The room was simple but offered great value for the price, and the accommodation was pleasant.

The surrounding greenery and river make the location unbeatable, and the shuttle even takes you to Koyasan. The only downside is the lack of handrails on the stairs, which can be worrisome for older guests.

The staff were friendly. The location was terrible— the worst road I’ve ever driven on. Getting there was complicated. After a whole day of sightseeing, you have to make your bed. The cabin is spacious by Japanese standards, with two floors. We slept downstairs because it was too hot upstairs. You’re surrounded by machines everywhere, so the setting loses all its charm. Dinner was fine. It’s impossible to go anywhere. There’s a kitchen at the accommodation. I wouldn’t return.

I booked a plan that included breakfast and had planned to eat dinner out, but after a tiring trek from Koyasan I realized I’d have to go back there again for a meal, so I was relieved to discover I could dine on‑site upon arrival; the food was quite tasty and I was very grateful.

The place in the middle of the forest is beautiful. The director was very kind. The restaurant meal was excellent. The silence is disturbed by the river’s noise at the foot of the property.
