The Holiday Inn Express- Waterloo/Cedar Falls by IHG in Waterloo features air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms, tea and coffee makers, and complimentary WiFi. Each room includes a work desk, TV, and wardrobe. The hotel offers a fitness centre, indoor swimming pool, and heated pool, as well as a lounge, business area, and child-friendly buffet. A continental and American buffet breakfast is served daily, with free on-site parking available.

The elevator was broken, the road was in disrepair, and the room had no coffee maker—apparently Holiday Inn Express is removing all coffee machines, which is a terrible move. Best Western Plus still seems to offer better service. The promised 24‑hour lobby coffee never materialised, a poor decision.

The hotel itself was great and the staff were very helpful, yet road construction outside forced me to detour to reach the driveway, even though I know it’s temporary.
