The staff were friendly and the service was good, but there was no way to watch free TV and they didn't offer complimentary water.

The location worked well for me because it was close to my destination and near Kyoto Station, offering a calm atmosphere. The only drawback was that the bathroom facilities felt a little cramped.

The front desk staff were extremely helpful and spoke good English, and the room was spotless even though it was small in the typical Japanese style—travel light if you can. It’s also conveniently close to metro and bus stations. The breakfast, however, was monotonous, offering only the same two dishes every day; keeping the two options is fine, but adding some variety throughout the week would be nice.
