“Wonderful stay in your beautiful inn in your beautiful state.”
The hotel was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff were wonderful, but the shower never got very warm.

The location was good, the breakfast was decent for the price, and the parking was satisfactory. We didn’t get the room we ordered; we asked for a sliding glass door at the bathroom but received a curtain instead.

The setting was quiet and the room with a fireplace was beautiful; I loved the common area, porch, restaurant, and pub area. Gretchen at the front desk was a hoot!

This historic inn feels lovely, with clean, modern comforts in a charming town surrounded by beautiful homes, woods, and a short walk to the Appalachian Trail; the staff were professional and helpful, the food was good, the bar lively and friendly, and we enjoyed a glass of wine on the large front porch while chatting with other guests, including a “through hiker” who shared his journey; they let us check out at noon so we could hike that morning and even paid for the Prosecco I bought to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary.
