We had a great time at Maha Lokha Balangan; the room was roomy and cozy, and we were lucky to get one with pool access, which looked stunning. Direct pool entry added a special touch, and the water was warm and enjoyable, though a few bugs floated around. A few small issues could have made it even better: there was no TV remote, we spotted several mosquitoes inside so better prevention would help, we wished for in‑room slippers because the tiled floor felt cold, especially with the cool room temperature, and the blankets were thin—proper doona sets would make the room cozier.

The room was clean and the cleaning ladies did a good job. We had a power outage for about an hour, but that seemed to affect the whole street, not the hotel.

Large room with a small pool area. Unfortunately the pool water was stagnant, so we couldn’t swim.
