“Un endroit serein et reposant”
The place has an insane charm; it feels like stepping into a secret garden where peace and calm reign. Liz and Tom are thoughtful and low‑key. There’s something unique about it, as if time itself stops.
“Very special place”
Beautiful, characterful and grand without being showy. Amazing rooms and outdoor spaces. Great breakfast. Warm and welcoming hosts
“Perfect location to stay when exploring the Gard and further afield.”
This isn’t a modern hotel; it’s a restored 17th‑century mansion, a mix between a grand family home and a miniature castle. Thick stone walls and shuttered windows keep the rooms cool, so no air‑con needed. Tom and Liz have wonderfully decorated it, with lovely gardens and a rooftop pool offering spectacular views and plenty of spots to relax. I loved the location—just a short walk to the town centre—and you can see the rooftops of Sommieres from the pool area. Breakfast was a wonderful mix of fresh fruit, viennoiserie, a selection of breads, homemade jams and marmalade, and local honey, all served in the garden on tables with lovely tablecloths and crockery. The only thing I struggled with was missing eggs at breakfast; I love protein in the morning (eggs, ham, cheese, etc).
Everything. Tom and Liz are welcoming and kind. The hotel is beautifully decorated and set in a stunning environment.
“Wonderful stay. Excellent breakfast, and super staff!”
Good ambiance. Original feel
