“Horrible”
The place was close to what I needed, but the photos on the site were fake, the pool was covered in green algae and didn’t heat up, so I didn’t get what I paid for.
2nd time i stay good area. Elevator was not workin and room was in 3rd floor
“The staff was wonderful, but unfortunately the hotel itself was outdated, poorly maintained, and had several cleanliness”
The location was close to TXST and the staff were genuinely the best part of our stay; everyone we met was kind, friendly, and helpful, and I appreciated their willingness to assist us when needed. Unfortunately, the hotel itself needs a lot of attention and updating. When we arrived there was no one at the front desk; instead a phone with a sign told guests to call for help so an employee could come to the desk. It seemed the front desk staff were also doing other duties in the hotel, which was concerning from the start. The elevator was out of service and our room was on the third floor, so we had to use the stairs throughout our stay. While we could manage it, I immediately wondered how this would be handled for an elderly or disabled guest. Some of the lights in the stairwell were out, leaving parts of the stairs very dark. I was also worried about security; the exterior doors we used appeared to remain accessible without a room key, even later at night. Combined with the dark stairwells, the property did not feel particularly secure. The hotel itself felt very dated and poorly maintained. The carpeting throughout the property was extremely old, there was an unpleasant odor, and the AC in our room sounded as if it was struggling to operate. The shower curtain did not contain the water properly, so water leaked onto the bathroom floor when showering. The phone in our room was not connected and did not even have a cord available to connect it. There was also no iron in the room. When I called to request one, the staff member was kind but explained that they would have to see if they could locate one from another room. There were cleanliness concerns as well: the inside of one of the lampshades had a very noticeable dried substance on it that looked as though it had been there for quite some time. I want to emphasize again that the staff members we encountered were wonderful. They were pleasant and helpful, and my complaints are not directed toward them.
The price was reasonable and the spot was convenient, yet the elevator felt old, the shower faucet in the bathroom was barely hanging on a thread so it was scary to use, the curtains in the room wouldn’t close, and the AC fan rattled all night.
“Complete disrepair and False advertisement from pictures presented on booking.com.”
The breakfast was decent and the dining area was clean, sheets were clean, but the elevator was broken so I had to climb stairs with ripped, stained carpet that smelled, all the ice machines were broken, there was no warm water for showers (just a hint of freezing cold), curtains were torn, carpet in the hallway was dirty, walls were dirty, lighting in the hall and room was poor (probably to hide the dirt), the pool was green, and the pictures on the site were a complete false advertisement.
