At first glance the hotel makes a good impression. The dining room is tastefully decorated and the breakfast selection was good in quality and content. Unfortunately, this positive impression was marred by the staff’s attitude. We felt the staff focused more on rigid procedures and time limits than on guests. For example, on a Sunday evening we had a reservation and didn’t know when we would be back, so we drove by the hotel at 13:30 pm just to check in and get the key without entering the room. The response was essentially: “I’ll have to charge you for an early check‑in because I have to do the work now.” We found that unhelpful. Another example: we had a dinner table reserved for a larger group from 20:00 pm. Some guests arrived around 19:00 pm just to have a drink. The staff’s first reply was: “The table is only reserved from 20:00 pm.” We expected a more flexible, guest‑friendly approach. A third example: breakfast required a lot of time. One person served all guests, leading to long waits for almost everything: while one table waited for rolls, another got an egg, and someone else waited for coffee. Breakfast took 45–50 minutes. We were not under time pressure, but the process felt unnecessarily slow. In summary, the hotel’s facilities and especially the dining room were very pleasing, and the breakfast itself was convincing. However, the overall strict, almost military tone and the staff’s focus on rigid schedules left us feeling less than fully welcomed.
