The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, and the hotel itself is spotless; it’s a bit removed from the city center yet still easy to reach by car, bike, or Grab. They’re part of an association that supports elders and kids from Myanmar, so your money actually helps them—an excellent way to enjoy a pleasant stay while giving back. I strongly recommend it, especially thanks to Pia, who is very friendly and speaks perfect English.

The only bright spot was a girl named Pim whose English was fantastic; if I recall correctly she’s the wife of one of the Dutch owners. Everything else was awful— the bed was rock‑hard, the hotel seemed haunted and gave me the creeps every time I walked in, hygiene was far from satisfactory, and the English‑speaking receptionist I booked through was nonexistent. I checked out early, emailed them, and still haven’t received a reply— definitely not worth your money.
