The front desk staff were very cordial and polite, but there was no lamp on the desk so I couldn’t see, and the room was extremely hot and I couldn’t figure out how to lower the temperature, which made it hard to sleep.

The location was great and the resort had a rustic charm; we saw the outdoor amenities but couldn’t use them because of our schedules. The rooms were clean and tidy, but the Wi‑Fi was incredibly slow, causing TV shows to buffer and one guest couldn’t get their phone to recognize the network. Getting ice required a trip to another building, which felt like a hike; we also had a broken lamp in room 207. Minor issues, but still annoying.

The central air was a plus, but the hotel room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time—no toothpaste, and the facilities didn’t match the site. The pool was closed and under construction, the room was dirty with spider webs, a dead bug was smooshed into the bed skirt, and there were chips and a bottle cap by the bed when you lifted the skirt.

The location was good and the staff were very friendly, but the facility clearly needs a major overhaul. It’s weathered and worn; I had to move rooms because someone in an adjacent room was smoking marijuana and the smell filled my room. Both rooms need refurbishing—one had dangling trim on the door knob, the door was ill-fitting with a noticeable gap that would let cold in during winter, and the shower water was barely warm; the regulator spun 360 degrees and it was hard to find the off position. Breakfast was tasty but not very hot. The bed was comfortable and the room appeared clean. The staff were friendly and attentive. The building seems worn out after many years; a seasonal closure for a complete refresh would be great.

The distance from my workplace was convenient, but the room felt kind of dark inside and the lights were insufficient.
