“DISAPPOINTING with hygiene concerns”

The location is excellent, but it doesn’t compensate for the lack of hygiene, poor maintenance, and overall condition of the property. We strongly advise future guests to be cautious. Our stay was extremely disappointing, especially because of serious hygiene issues. We all woke up with multiple bites, and our daughter had over 20 bites in one night. When we checked her bed, we found bugs that looked like BED BUGS, and we have video proof. We were so worried that we couldn’t let our daughter sleep in her bed and had to share a single bed for the last night. We’re also concerned about bringing bugs home in our belongings. On top of that, the listing photos were misleading and made the property look like it belonged to the Mercure chain. The towels smelled musty and had suspicious patches, the linens were old and damaged, and all the kitchenware was in very poor condition and clearly old. There was a broken mirror in the room, a broken toilet paper holder, and dirty curtains. At one point, the air conditioning even emitted smoke, which was especially alarming.

“Do not stay here. Owner does not disclose important nuisances”

On the morning of checkout, the front staff person that we had a problem with the last we stayed because he was so rude, permitted us this time to stay in an area while we searched and booked another stay in Rio. The area was comfortable and away from the general public. We also slept on the couch because we could not sleep in the room due to the loud construction. Disgusting host. He was advised immediately of the abundance of flies in the room. He had only 1 towel available which was evidently used 1000x. He had zero toiletries , or should i say, 1/2 roll of toilet paper. He fully was aware by communication that we were arriving from a 10 hour plane ride, plus the bus from Sao Paulo to Rio. The maintenance staff brought up a roll of toilet paper and one only 2.5 ounce of shampoo. 2 pieces of what he describes as soap. They fail to put themselves in the shoe of the traveller, per se. NO sheets for the sofa bed. For the bed in the bedroom, it was a very thin sheet with no mattress cover - that in itself if unhygienic. He was aware that very EARLY in the morning there would be construction and failed to disclose. This is what makes Brazil awful, people like him with zero integrity. There was hammering, sawing, loud noises. There were videos taken and if I could upload them to prove this, i would. He excused the noise by his bylaw for Brazil that stated construction can occur at any time. He refused to refund our money. Another horrible settlement to people that trusted him and his ad. He did NOT have a washing machine in his apartment but the ad contained that it did. He masked the name of this condominium so that people really dont know where they are headed to. People simply rely on the ad. Disgusting, no integrity, unprofessional, not to be trusted. VERY unresponsive AFTER we arrived. He was very responsive before we got there. ONLY 2 photos are from this apartment. The problem is, Booking supports the host, consumer pay in full and only afterwards are you given the host information (I can understand why, but then it should not be no refund) This is how they are making money because once you pay, its non refundable Brazil is a nice place. This owner lacks integrity. AND yes there was construction! door lock changes should not be so important on a weekend EARLY! before 7am! Booking credit us 53Brl (brazil reals)

The location was great, but the air‑conditioner in the living room didn’t work. The toilet clogged and they never unclogged it, even after I asked. They only gave one key per apartment, even though there were two guests. The kitchen faucet was loose from the countertop. The curtain was just a plastic blackout, torn with some clips missing, so it either made the room completely dark or let neighbors see us naked. Bathroom towels were moldy and the floor was slippery when showering because the shower box leaked water. The showerhead also leaked, soaking the floor. For three days there was only one small hand soap, so I had to buy one for bathing. For a two‑person stay, the bed had only one sheet that didn’t fit the mattress properly, and the elastic slipped. I spent 100 reais buying a towel, a floor towel for the bathroom, and a sheet.

Localização ótima,. No anúncio diz ser pé na areia e não é, fica próximo a beira mar, acredito que uns 150 m, diz ter vista p/ o mar e no quarto que fiquei não tinha, mas, o conforto e atendimento foram nota 10
