I recently had a unique experience at a hotel, where the staff's sense of humor was a highlight, but it was overshadowed by a disappointing room allocation issue. I had booked an air-conditioned room a day in advance, but upon arrival, I was told that only non-air-conditioned rooms were available. While the staff's lighthearted approach to the situation made it more bearable, it was still frustrating to not get the room I had requested.
