“Exceptional staff and great value”

The staff are excellent, the location is great, and the value is superb. The girl who checked me in was extremely hospitable from the moment I entered the reception area, and she deserves praise for her outstanding hospitality, which is rare these days!

“Basic room, no face to face contact at check in and a restaurant not open”

I needed a place to sleep for the night and a hot shower, which I got, but that was about it. I had to ring someone to check in and then ring again because I was given the wrong room number. The website said the restaurant was open 7 nights a week, but it was closed the night I stayed.

“Nice view from compact room”

I stayed in room 15, designed for solo travelers; it felt tight at first glance, but after a night it proved more than sufficient and very cozy. The window offered a stunning view, so I ate breakfast and drank tea on the bed while looking out. The bathroom was spotless and the hot water flowed well, which was perfect for a chilly Tasmanian evening. The only surprise was the room’s small size and layout when I first entered.

“Hosts are friendly but it says something that there is a can of fly spray in the bathroom but no soap”

There wasn’t much space to move around in the room.
