The cooked breakfast selection was excellent and delicious. The granola was a bit too sweet; a mixed flaked muesli would have been better for those who prefer less sugar. Nuts and seeds were available to add, which were lovely, and the coffee was particularly good. It would have been courteous to warn us that our room was down the road, which was inconvenient when the rain was beating down. The lights were good enough to read in bed, but the bathroom lacked a loo brush, an anti‑slip bath mat, and more coat hangers would have been welcome, along with a stair rail reaching the bottom of the stairs and a hand rail at the door onto the road.
