Markel and Carol’s outstanding service saved our weekend on 10/3/2026 when my friends and I booked a stay at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Frederick, Maryland, for a girls’ weekend after being forced to leave our previous accommodations because of a terrible stink bug infestation; I had mistakenly booked a room with one King bed and a trundle bed, which was obviously unsuitable for four adult women, and even though I tried to change it seconds after booking the system wouldn’t let me cancel, a phone representative told me there were absolutely no rooms left with two Queen beds, so I called Markel at the front desk in desperation, she was incredibly kind, empathetic, and understanding, asked me to call back in 45 minutes and promised to find a solution if there were no cancellations, and when I called back she had already arranged a room with two Queen beds for our arrival; upon arrival both Markel and Carol were wonderfully welcoming, pleasant, and accommodating, the entire staff was great, but these two incredible ladies turned what could have been a disastrous trip into a fun, flawless weekend, and their level of service goes above and beyond, deserving recognition for their efforts.

“PLEASING great 3 star experience”

The staff were very willing to help, the atmosphere was good, and you could sleep well at night as it was very quiet on the east side during my stay, with nothing that one shouldn’t expect at a 3‑star hotel.
