Apart from the fantastic location, the facilities were excellent, the rooms were clean and the beds super comfortable, and the staff were amazing—kind, accommodating, engaging, and friendly. The reception lady was one of a kind! The Windermere House Grill restaurant is a must‑try; the food is exquisite and beautiful.

The facilities, breakfast, rooms, and outdoor games were all good. The only downside was that there was no dinner option besides the pub; a special on‑site dinner would have been nice.

The wood fires were fantastic. I missed a summer campfire this year, so seeing them at WH was a super nice surprise. Sitting on them during the stay was great! The only issue was that the shower water pressure was sometimes just a dribble.
