I finally stayed at the apartment I’d been curious about for a long time. The staff were very kind and quick on their feet, which impressed me given how relaxed foreign‑staffed places are nowadays. Despite the cramped space, they eliminated the usual vague feel of a standard business hotel; the room even featured the president couple’s books, which was oddly amusing. Each amenity had a printed proverb, giving off a strong business‑mindset vibe that seemed perfectly targeted—funny, really. I was on a work trip, so I ended up reading a lot. The breakfast, however, felt rushed, the room atmosphere was hectic, the air conditioning was too cold, and the tables were too close together, so I couldn’t relax.
