“Me senti nutrida de sol, natureza e comida!”
It was my second stay at Casa da Estação, and the first time I went alone. I booked it after a mentally and socially exhausting period, looking for rest, and the drive from Curitiba is quick. Upon arrival I took a dip in the pool before the tourist rush, then spent the afternoon on the hammock reading a book and later napped in the room. The city isn’t as lively at night, so there are few evening activities, which is a pity while everything is “asleep” along the Nhundiaquara. I grabbed a pizza and ate it at the inn. Admittedly, sleeping alone in that manor was a wild experience, but it was all magical. The next day I was lucky with a lovely sun and could fully enjoy the pool. I feel right at home there. Breakfast is divine, a feast accompanied by local birds and occasional train horns. Narciso and Bruna helped me and made me feel very welcome. I love everything and want to return a thousand times! Nothing to complain about :) Just remember that because it’s close to the station, the train is a neighbour. For me the occasional noise didn’t bother at all. The inn is “on the other side of the track.” I honestly enjoy the experience of being a bit away from the historic centre yet still within walking distance. And well, the train is part of the city’s history, so I wouldn’t change anything about the stay.
