Green Hotel Budapest

I stayed for the HungEXPO conference of EMNLP, and the hotel was conveniently close to the venue. The room facilities were excellent and the staff were very friendly. I appreciated the warm treatment. The only downside was the limited vegetarian options; I would have liked a few more varieties.

Smoking just outside the entrance, smoke smell in the stairwell, doors bang loudly in the morning.

“In my opinion, this hotel offers excellent value for money; I don’t understand why people have given it such low ratings”

This place really gives you the best bang for your buck; I can’t see why anyone would rate it poorly. For the price, the experience is top‑tier—you won’t find better quality for the same cost. It felt like an American hostel straight out of a film; the rooms were huge, breakfast was adequate, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks for everything!

“Sehr gute Lage, wenn man eine Convention im Hungexpo Congress Center besucht”

The location is great—about a 15‑minute walk from Hungexpo Congress Centre and the nearest subway station is only a 5‑minute stroll, so you’re quickly in the city centre and near the sights. The breakfast buffet is replenished regularly and the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, the hotel sits on the main road, so it’s quite noisy at night. In the breakfast room there’s only one coffee machine, which creates a long wait before you can finally get your coffee.

The staff were very nice, the room was clean, and I could wake up whenever I wanted, which was a pleasant surprise. The checkout time was reasonable. I love that. The window was in a mediocre state—not terrible, but it needs some work. Other than that, everything was fine.
