Eyjar Fishing Lodge

The lodge’s location is unbeatable – right in nature with a wonderful view. My room was large and cozy. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable. There is a large lounge with big panoramic windows and a big terrace. You can use the communal fridge and make coffee or tea. In the mornings, there was a buffet breakfast with a lovingly set table in a cozy atmosphere. At night, I could see the Aurora – beautiful! The communication with the host was somewhat unclear. I received a message that my name would be on the room door and the key would be there. There were two rooms with keys, but none with my name. A follow‑up through Booking was not answered, but it ultimately wasn’t a problem because I simply moved into one of the two rooms where the key was.

The location is really nice and there’s a sauna and a pool. Breakfast was tasty and the dining room is incredibly beautifully decorated. Unfortunately the pool was unusable because of maintenance. I couldn’t meet any staff to ask what was going on, so I had to find out by email. The bathroom is clean enough, a bit dusty but otherwise everything was fine.

Location superb in the middle of nature, with a breathtaking view. The place is clean, self‑service, a pleasant hosting space with satisfying breakfast. Highly recommended for anyone looking for accommodation amid amazing scenery.

“Très agréable, cozy avec un décoration style chasse et pêche”

8 chambres réparties de part et d’autre d’un couloir avec sauna en self service 👍 les hot tubs étaient hors d’usage mi-sept 2026. La salle commune est au bout de ce couloir. La chambre 8 est à l’opposé. Nous avons pu échanger avec les gentils propriétaires le matin au petit déjeuner, ce qui est très rare en Islande ! Le self check-in est très pratique, votre nom est scotché sur la porte de votre chambre avec la clé dans la serrure. Hautement recommandé. Pas grand chose, peut être l’insonorisation entre les chambres car j’ai entendu les ronflements de la chambre voisine. Mais j’ai le sommeil léger, et mon mari a très bien dormi! Je penserai à prendre des bouchons d’oreille la prochaine fois
