Travelodge by Wyndham Bloomington

The staff were very friendly, and the on‑site laundry was a big convenience. The location is excellent, only a few minutes’ walk to College Mall, right in the heart of the city. The property feels very old and in dire need of refurbishment; the carpets were stained and smelled, the chair in the room was dirty and stained, the bathtub looked almost grey, and the beds were just okay. The price was high for a place like this.

The hotel’s proximity to campus is a plus. Everything else was terrible: the room was humid and had a mildew smell, the rug and bedding were old and damp, the bathroom tub had stains, and the whole hotel, hallways, and rooms gave off an old, smoky odor. It clearly needs a major renovation, and I couldn’t wait to get home and shower.

Nothing good to mention. The first room we were given had a mildew smell and the tub was moldy.

The location is really good, close to shops and the university, and the rooms are spacious and practical, but the breakfast was extremely limited with very few options, and the price felt too high.

“Happy to find the available room with such short notice.”

I could walk to campus easily, and there were plenty of restaurants around.
