The room was roomy and came with three beds, and our booking clearly listed four adults and the final price, taxes included. However, at check‑in the front desk staff initially refused to accommodate all four of us, blaming a mistake in the reservation. Their tone was unfriendly, argumentative, and at times aggressive; the hotel then demanded an extra USD 35 for a separate room for our guide. They insisted on payment in U.S. dollars even though we had enough local currency, and only accepted Bhutanese currency after a lengthy discussion.
