The service was excellent, the staff very friendly, and parking was convenient; the restaurant still has room to improve—well‑presented dishes, but unfortunately bland.

They surprised us with treats and a bowl for the dogs, plus a welcome note that mentioned a nice walk—a truly lovely touch.

The room was fine: quiet, clean, functional, with a very good shower system. We chose the continental breakfast, which offered good bread, bircher müesli, and fruit. The whole property stayed very clean and all staff were friendly and helpful. We ran into a temporary issue when the motorway exit Pforzheim Est closed, and our satellite navigation didn’t know it; we fixed it by selecting “no motorway” after leaving the motorway at the next exit. The temperature control in the room was impossible to adjust: no display of actual or target temperature, just a knob that turned without any numbers showing the effect. A toaster at breakfast would have been appreciated, and the 15 cm × 15 cm napkins were ridiculous.
