The price was very reasonable, the linen was clean, and the shared bathrooms were modern. I was told there was wifi, but later told there wasn’t. The room lacked a bedside table or bed lamp, and aside from a hook on the door there was no hanging space. An old chest of drawers was the only storage. I would have liked a jug and tea‑making facilities in the room. I later found a room set aside for tea making, but the chairs were stacked on top of a table and the cups were dirty, so I chose not to use it. The lack of amenities in the room, including a bedlamp and hanging space, and the absence of wifi—standard in most hotels—were disappointing. I couldn’t get the TV to work, but I had a book to keep me occupied.
