Overall, the property is great and the staff are lovely, and we were close to nature. The open layout caused problems, especially when large ants swarmed our bed and the kitchen at night. Sac‑winged bats roosted over our bed and often left droppings on our bags, posing a health risk such as hantavirus. As a wildlife biologist I know this is a jungle full of wildlife, but I mention it because it might be uncomfortable for others, including my wife.

The accommodation and its location are extraordinary – simply awesome. It would be great if card payment were accepted; otherwise everything is excellent.

It’s a great spot to experience nature and see wildlife, but having Wi‑Fi available at the accommodation would be beneficial.

“Wonderful house with great owners”

The location is amazing, even better than the photos online. The welcome was very friendly and helpful; they explained everything, showed me where to park, and gave a tour of the house. The place is very clean, and the kitchen is well‑equipped with more than enough for cooking, plus coffee and oil were provided. The meal I had at the restaurant was delicious, and it was a nice little spot to eat with Wi‑Fi. It’s at the start of the trails to explore Bolita, with the office just a little before Amazonita at the end of the road. The stay was great, though the mattresses could use an update – a minor issue.

“If you are looking for a rainforest getaway, this is your place! What a hidden gem!”

The host family was amazing, cooking delicious meals and helping us practice Spanish. They were very sweet to our kids and made us feel at home. The bungalow was secluded and comfortable, yet fully open to the jungle. I wish we could have stayed longer!
