The 3-star-superior Exe City Park Hotel is centrally located opposite Prague's main train station, 300 metres from Wenceslas Square, and within walking distance of most tourist attractions. It was a perfect hotel with a good location, rooms were very clean, we had no complaints at all… an amazing place to stay.

It faces the central train station and is close to the old town. The breakfast is tasty with a decent variety and plenty of fruit. The bathroom lacks a ventilation fan, the towel cannot be hung in a convenient spot next to the shower, and the window in the room is small.

I travel here for business several times a year and have always left top reviews for a room near the park and the station. This time I got unlucky with the room – see below. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast is superb, the spot right by the main station is unbeatable, and I’ve always gotten a parking spot from the hotel. This time I was given a very small room with a window facing a corridor in front of a light‑less courtyard, not even directly out. Ventilation was impossible. Without air‑conditioning it got sticky quickly; with the AC on the lowest setting it was very cold, the temperature control didn’t work and the cooling couldn’t be turned off. That room was definitely not worth the price.
