The hotel’s equipment was a real let‑down, but the location was spot on. What made the stay bearable was the amazing staff. I hope they upgrade the gear eventually.

The attendants were super attentive—shout‑out to Mr. Manoel! But the mattress was rock‑hard and the pillows were stiff too, so I woke up with back pain every day. The room smelled like cigarettes, and after a couple of rainy mornings the bathroom door wouldn’t close, letting in a nasty sewage odor. Noise was a nightmare: street parties during Carnival, a room blasting music till dawn, and people chatting on the ground floor at 6 am. The breakfast was basic, nothing fancy.

Stayed here for six years during Carnival and always chose this spot. The staff were friendly and the service was top‑notch. I’m looking forward to coming back next year.
