Nice room. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant didn’t speak Dutch, which was unpleasant. We also had to set up our own breakfast table and always had to ask for the next dish at dinner.

The Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Amelander Kaap is situated on Ameland's west coast, near dunes, beaches, and the sea. It features a pool, sauna, tennis court, and 9-hole golf course. The à la carte restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while the brasserie/lounge offers an open fire and snacks. Bike rentals are available, and the hotel is a short distance from walking and cycling paths.

The place didn’t provide bathrobes or slippers for the pool or sauna, the hair dryer was constantly off, the shower was installed inside the bathtub, and the bathroom décor looked straight out of the 80s; in the hallway the doors keep slamming into each other and there are only three hangers for all of our clothes.

Breakfast was standard, the location was very good and quiet. The room needs renovation; the floor had heavy stains and the cabinets were worn out. In the bathroom there was only a bathtub, which is quite high for older people to get into.

The location was great, the facilities were clean, and breakfast offered a wide range of choices. The pool area was nice, but the chlorine smell was quite strong.
