Gara Rock

“10/10 Perfection”

Stunning stay at Gara Rock. The surroundings are beautiful, the staff are exceptionally kind, obliging, and knowledgeable, and the restaurant food is delectable. This is, by far, one of the best hotels for service. Leaving, could have stayed a whole week

Staff were very attentive and clearly love where they work, location is beautiful and the room was amazing. Nothing

“Nice hotel but a few things let it down.”

The hotel itself was lovely and our room was very nice. The layout and balcony were lush so no complaints there. Everything was decorated really well and everything felt very clean. We were asked several times if we had booked for dinner, and we replied no as we hadn't decided what we were doing (it was my partners birthday, of which I had made it known). We were asked to book a few times but then we were told that the restaurant wasn't fully booked so we thought that was odd. Then we were asked what time we'd be booking in for breakfast. Normally you get told breakfast is from this time to this time. It made us feel like we were a bit of an inconvenience, so just some feedback. I think the customer service of a few of the staff could have been better. Also the food in the restaurant was ok but not great, and found the menu wasn't very extensive either

“Overall, a very comfortable stay. Was disappointed with the evening menu. Did not feel it was value for money.”

Modern hotel design with lots of space to sit and relax. Lovely outside bar area with beautiful views out towards the sea. Bedrooms tastefully decorated with high quality furnishings. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Outside pool did not have a shower or loo nearby, had to walk a few minutes back to the main hotel. No loos in the spa changing area. Not enough seating around the indoor spa pool, only three loungers which were always taken. Restaurant very overpriced with a limited uninspiring menu

“Indulgence in a gorgeous setting”

Patrick and Aiden at the front desk delivered exceptional service. Gara Rock is a lovely place with breathtaking scenery and walks; the accommodation was great and the self‑catering facilities were very good. The restaurant served excellent meals. It was a shame that breakfast hashbrowns for the GF diet weren’t available because the fryer wasn’t on until lunchtime. The swimming pool, though beautiful, sits close to the septic tank and was quite pungent. Also, the taxi list needs updating—I had to call around before finding a taxi, using a firm not on the list (Merlin Taxis – Susi).
