“Nooit meer!”
Breakfast was very extensive and the older woman at the front desk in the morning was very kind and considerate. When we arrived, a woman was in front of us with a problem. We waited politely until she finished and the elevator entered. We asked if we could check in early because we were 20 minutes early, and that was allowed; she was helping us check in, then the woman returned and before she could explain anything she was again with that woman, so I calmly said sorry but we had just been waiting for you and we’re ready, can you wait your turn? She told us she was next, so I told her we didn’t find that polite. Then she started pushing us away and we couldn’t get the key to our room 10 minutes earlier. We had to wait. I saw that I was given the room the woman wanted to swap with us; I understood why, the bathroom was terrible. The shower door rubber seals were loose and it was very old. We thought we’d be there for a short time so it was fine for now. We headed out and in the evening we went to the pool area, so we thought we’d check it out, we were a bit late and decided to order a cocktail at the hotel, but they were already cleaning, so we asked if it was still possible to order or if they were closed. The bartender said it was still possible, so I ordered, and the bartender was so busy cleaning to leave on time. He got stressed when he couldn’t find the ingredients. We even feared the cocktails were more expensive there than on the boulevard, plus that bartender. We calmly sat on the pool terrace, the show was almost over. When it finished a few people left and we stayed with a few others. The same bartender had to clean the terrace and everything was already shut down around everyone. The whole vibe disappeared. We finished our drink and left again.
