I stayed in the newly renovated rooms, which are once again beautiful wood with fresh bathrooms, and I still love the place—my first visit was back in 1974.

Fantastic setting, beach, golf course, hiking trails, Manta rays, Manta breakfast, etc were top notch. Still some areas that need remodeling attention, ex rusted fire suppression pipes in lobby. Most importantly, the employee service level and attitudes were very spotty. Some were great, but many others were dismissive, seemed bothered to help, were not proactive in engaging and gave limited information. This applied specifically to the Concierge group, and the golf starter who was grouchy an rude

The hotel is very beautiful and upscale, with excellent service, clean rooms, and a reasonable price. Nothing to complain about.
