I stayed just 40 minutes from Bergen, and the place was great—friendly staff, everything in order, and even the animals were nice.

When we arrived at the farm, free‑roaming chickens greeted us and later gave us eggs as a gift; the four cuddly kids‑goats and the sheep were a hit with our daughter, and the warm, dry weather let us explore all the swimming spots on Osteroy. The only downside was that the bathroom felt a bit cramped for six people.

We liked everything; the manager was very helpful, provided chocolate and eggs from his hens plus coffee when we arrived on a Sunday, but there was a bit of a cleanliness issue.

The house is huge with two floors and a well‑equipped kitchen, set in a peaceful, idyllic spot that’s easy to reach from Bergen, and it even has an electric‑car charging point. The bathroom/toilet, however, is very small.
