The room was fine and bikes could be parked safely in the garage, but the breakfast was mediocre: no croissants, only sturgeonberry, plum, and quince preserves, and they were very runny.

I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful location, but it was a shock when the hotel was closed upon our arrival at 13:00.

The apartment was spacious and well equipped, and the very friendly owners guided us at check‑in and explained the appliances; the view from 1300 m above was stunning, though reaching it required an 11 km drive up a partly narrow, winding road from the valley.
