“Una delusione a Roma”
The only positive thing was the location if you use the metro; it’s a short walk from St. Peter’s, the beds are fairly comfortable, and there’s a small fridge in the room. In many years of traveling, even in London suburbs, I’ve never felt so disappointed: the building is very old and spartan, our room didn’t match the photos at all, the electrical system is absolutely flashy, outlets keep popping out, bedside lamps don’t work, and to top it off the power went out during the last night, so when I realized in the morning we had no hot water to wash. I should have paid more attention to earlier reviews. The bathroom products are basically two mini soaps that are useless and a shower shampoo sachet that barely cleans men’s hair. There is a Nespresso machine, but you’ll have to bring your own coffee because none is provided. The quality doesn’t match the price at all.
The location is close to the Vatican and the historic centre is within walking distance. On the day I arrived, the kettle and coffee machine were not working. I reported it to the host and the next day both appliances had been replaced. Thanks for the quick response. I stayed at the property at the end of September. The days were hot but the nights were a bit cool. There was only one sheet on the bed. I would have liked a small blanket, at least as a spare.
“Place OK for a short stay but make sure everything works well before they disappear :)”
Getting here was easy, the place is excellent, safe, just a few blocks from the Vatican, surrounded by plenty of shops, a fantastic farmers' market, restaurants, and even a pub. The room was freshly painted, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The only annoying issue was that both the kettle and coffee maker were broken, and there was no spare in the kitchen. I emailed and texted the owners, but they never replied—what a shame. Having to go down to the restaurant for a cup of hot water was not ideal. My tip: double‑check everything when you arrive.
“Está bien para dos noches”
We were supposed to arrive at 16:00 but had several unforeseen events. Check‑in was until 18:30 and the front desk guy said he would wait until 19. We didn’t arrive until after 20, yet he still waited. We’re very grateful; otherwise we would have slept on the street. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. Everything matched the price. We only used the facilities for sleeping and showering.
The location is great, but the services could use a slight improvement.
