Hotel Wald und See, a family-run hotel, is centrally located in Heringsdorf, 500 metres from the Baltic Sea coast. The hotel offers rental bicycles, a spa area with sauna and hot tub, and Wi-Fi access. Quiet, light rooms and apartments feature wooden furniture, some with balconies or sea views. The hotel borders the Usedom Nature Park and is 5.5 km from Poland's border.

Breakfast, the location, and the Polish staff are outstanding. The furniture feels a bit dated.

The old DDR apartment building charm is balanced by plenty of friendliness, and there was a lockable bike shed available.

The breakfast spread was diverse, offering sausages, cheese, jams, eggs, fruit, cereal, various salads and local specialties, all visible from the glass front of the dining room overlooking the sea. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the hotel’s own parking was included in the price.

The staff were very nice and friendly. The breakfast had a generous selection and the room was very pretty. We’ll come back again.
