The breakfast was the best I had during my trip to Iceland.

The breakfast was great in a clean, comfortable guesthouse, and I found handmade wool items at some of the cheapest prices I’ve seen; the low light pollution made spotting the northern lights easier, though the location is slightly off the beaten path, as is almost everything else.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spartan with minimal décor, but the two whirlpools advertised were already turned off because the next day was the last open day, which was very disappointing since we were looking forward to them.

The room was very comfortable and clean, with a car parking spot right at the door, a radiator that you can control from the room and heats up quickly; the breakfast isn’t very varied but tasty and you can make your own waffles, and the view from the room is incredible – we even saw a small aurora, so we’d definitely come back.

The hospitality was amazing, the shower was a bit weak for a private bathroom but still manageable, and overall there was nothing much to complain about.
