The location and cleanliness were good. The room is dark and smells like sewage, so the bathroom door must stay shut. It’s a bit of a dingy spot, but it’s in the center, which is a plus.

The location is very good and the staff were wonderful. Simone welcomed us, kindly gave many affordable recommendations for sights and food, and we said goodbye to Michelangelo. Both were charming and always available. The only downside is the room is small but meets basic needs.

The spot was spot‑on, the room was comfy, spotless and hushed; my wife and I were thoroughly pleased, we’d highly recommend it and can’t wait to return to Florence to enjoy Friends of Michelangelo’s hospitality. In short, everything was excellent.

We were thrilled with Michel’s helpful, service‑oriented attitude, his tasty dining suggestions and his constant attention to our comfort. The location was ideal, letting us stroll to all the sights—Ponte Vecchio, Basilica di Santa Croce, Oltrarno, Piazzale Michelangelo and Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore—within walking distance. The only downside was a faint humidity smell in the bathroom, which vanished as soon as we used the towel radiator.
