The rooms were clean. The one big disappointment was the lack of culture, professionalism, and the scandalous attitude of the owner toward guests. If you think a lodging owner should show personal culture, respect for customers, and problem‑solving skills, we strongly advise against Belmar Park Resort in Chłapów. On 7 October 2026 we booked a two‑night stay, but mistakenly chose a date a month later. We realized the mistake after about 15 minutes, already on site, and went straight to reception to resolve it. We expected a normal conversation and a solution, not miracles or special treatment. Instead we encountered an extremely unpleasant approach from the reception lady. We heard that because the reservation was made by , it was our problem, not the hotel’s. She was clearly irritated, snippy, and behaved as if the fact that a client had a problem was a personal insult. We contacted , learned that the hotel had available rooms for the dates we wanted and that a date change was possible for an extra fee. The platform sent a message to the hotel asking for a date change and for permission to cancel the reservation and refund the money. In reply we heard that the manager refused a refund because, as the lady said, “the hotel must make money.” When we asked to speak with the decision‑maker, she refused to call or give a phone number. The most absurd thing happened later. When I calmly asked what we could do to satisfy both sides, I was accused of trying to coerce, and the lady claimed she felt threatened. It’s hard to believe that a simple attempt at compromise could be portrayed that way.
