The location is spot on, the staff were very helpful, and the rooms were clean and tidy.

The spot is great – a short walk to the main shopping and dining area – and the area is pretty quiet, even though there was construction across the road. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the rooms had a cute rustic vibe. Housekeeping was excellent. It does feel a bit pricey, which I guess is normal for Jackson. The reception staff were a bit disappointing: when we arrived there was an e.coli outbreak, but reception didn’t tell us until we asked, and then they said we couldn’t drink the water. We only got four 300ml bottles for our four‑night stay as two adults, so we had to rush to the shops before they ran out. With the high rate for a basic hotel, I expected better preparation for this kind of situation.

It’s close to the town square, so you can walk everywhere. The stairs were tough with large suitcases, but we managed.

The rooms really need an upgrade. The bathroom mirror was so old and worn that we couldn’t see our faces in it. Pathetic.
