“Loin de tout au calme”

The calm was perfect for resting, the staff were kind after a brief adjustment period, the room décor was nice, the pool was very clean and had comfortable seating nearby, and the food was good. The toilet cleanliness—especially at the pool—was lacking, and our own toilets weren’t very clean on arrival; you have to remember to clean under the mirror. Only one of the two air‑conditioned double rooms had AC, and opening the connecting door was unsatisfactory, particularly when the non‑AC room had openings that couldn’t be blocked, exposing it to the outside. The beach was polluted, but that’s common around Sri Lanka and not the hotel’s fault.

“Amazingly peaceful location with great pool and fabulous room.”

In October 2026 I stayed in a fabulous top‑floor room that was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The garden was well maintained and peaceful. The pool was excellent and the beach was close enough to be endless. A top sheet instead of a bedspread would have been better, and dinner was rather bland and expensive—Rs4000 per head, the most costly meal after three weeks in Sri Lanka.

“Wer ruhe sucht ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben”

I was blown away by the wonderful staff and the beautifully designed building. The staff were truly open to every wish and took care of us throughout the stay. Every morning’s breakfast brought a new surprise, and dinner was also very good. The property was very clean and maintained by the staff. The beautifully designed rooms with the large bed completed the experience.

“Zeer fijne plek om even op adem te komen, mooie natuur super vriendelijk personeel”

The hotel was super beautiful, with very friendly staff and a lovely pool; the room and bathroom were gorgeous, and we could even peek at the beach from a little path. The waves were too high for swimming, but it was still a beautiful spot. It felt a bit remote, which added extra travel time, and having shampoo and shower gel would have been nice.
